mad-at-me asked: If you get the right litter they are basically smell free. They aren't like dogs were you need to bath them so their fur never smells. Also, some cats can be very very social if you introduce them to people young and don't have a dog that will harass it. Cats change all the time, they might seem very distant but can turn around and be extremely cuddly.
the one cat i had a long time ago was very hyper but he was also very loyal and affectionate, i have generally good feelings about cats. it’s a big responsibility taking care of something, though, making sure it’s healthy and still alive every day.
pros: cats are cute, they’re pretty smart, a good cat can be very loyal, it’s healthy to have another living thing in the house
cons: shedding, smells, social stigma, they can’t talk
